How long does SEZ unit approval take?
A well-prepared application is typically decided at the next Unit Approval Committee meeting — usually 4–8 weeks end to end. Poorly prepared applications get deferred, which is where most delays come from.
Is the Section 10AA tax holiday still available?
Section 10AA applies to units that commenced operations before the sunset date; the position for new units depends on current Finance Act provisions. We assess your specific eligibility before you commit to a zone.
Can an existing DTA unit convert into an SEZ unit?
Yes, subject to conditions on used plant and machinery and fresh investment. We evaluate whether conversion or a new unit gives you the better position.
